3 Peas in a Pod

This blog post is WAY over due!  I met this beautiful family in November just after the arrival of their gorgeous baby #3.  This was a lovely lifestyle newborn session.  We did some "studio" style shots and some natural family shots.  And although the weather was starting to turn, we were lucky enough to get a few photos outside.
I must say a huge thank you to my good friend and fellow photographer, Janette Douglas, for helping me out on this shoot.  She was my right hand "lady"!  She even managed a few shots of me in action.
And lastly, a big heart felt thank you to this lovely family who invited me into their home to share their intimate family moments.  I really enjoyed meeting you and hope to see you again in the future.

Happy Birthday baby Ben

Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday dear Ben,
Happy birthday to you!
This year has flown by so quickly.  I met this little man almost a year ago when I took his 4 month photos.
Then I saw Ben and his parents again this past summer for his 8 month photos....
And now, he's 1!!!!!
And in true first birthday style...we celebrated with a cake smash.  This amazing cookie monster cake was created by Jane at Jane Lizzy Cakes.  Visit her website to see all the delicious goodies you can have made. Jane Lizzy Cakes -great for birthdays and special occasions.  Thank you Jane for this gorgeous cake.
If you would like to schedule a "Cake Smash" birthday photo session to celebrate your special girl or boy's first birthday, please do get in touch.  photos@lauragioffredo.com

Treasure Hunt | Cobham

Once again, back in Cobham - it's such a great place for photos!

This time, I got the pleasure of meeting Jenny and Kai and their 4 adorable and SO well behaved children.  We had a BLAST!  We met for a 2 hour session so I was able to get a variety of photos for them - individual, family, different locations...  Jenny and Kai even got a few together! Jenny said they hadn't done that since their wedding!

Our shoot was really like a "morning out";  full of fun, giggles, discovery and surprises.  The kids loved the "treasure hunt" - I'm a sneaky little photographer.  We also got a bit "silly" at the end as I let the kids "raid" my photo booth props as a reward for being so good.

Here are some of our beautiful photos from this session.  Thank you Jenny and Kai.

Put That Camera Away!

Just a few weeks ago, I had an amazing session scheduled at a very cool location - a local palace.  I was so excited;  I spent a few hours the weekend before just scouting the place out with my camera.  The session was terrific - the boys were adorable and the parents, simply gorgeous. So needless to say I love these photos.

But the session wasn't without a glitch.   I've seen other family photos taken here, so never did it cross my mind that I wouldn't be able to do my family session at this location.  I had my pro camera out taking shots the weekend before - nobody said anything .  It was only when the staff approached me during the session did I realise...professional photos are not allowed.  Luckily the staff member was nice enough to let me take a couple of the family in front of the palace, but unfortunately I can't post these awesome photos publicly.
After the embarrassment, we moved ourselves away from the palace itself and carried on with the session.  Despite the set back, the session was a success.  There are so many beautiful photos - I had a hard time deciding which ones to post for you all!
So thank you to this wonderful family for spending a beautiful, yet foggy and eventful Saturday morning with me!  I hope you love your photos!
